Media Center Assistant

The Media Center Assistant must understand and promote the mission and ministry of FVL through
positive interactions with students, colleagues, and visitors. They must maintain a Christ-centered,
resource-rich environment for student learning and technical support.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Active member of a WELS/ELS congregation committed to Christian Education
- Bachelor or associate degree preferred but not required
- Tech support training and/or experience preferred but not required
- Education or library experience preferred but not required
- Leadership skills and/or experience within a collaborative environment
- Positive/friendly disposition and demeanor; age-appropriate interpersonal skills with teenagers
and adults
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works with the Media Center Supervisor to carry out responsibilities related to the workspace
- Assists with operation and supervision of the Media Center, including study hall overflow
- Provides initial technical support for student laptop issues
- Assists with library resource management and circulation
- Provides supervision and organizational support for students assigned to Fox Success program
- Provides occasional class coverage (subbing) in the Media Center when class sizes allow
SPECIFIC DUTIES
- Maintains an environment that supports student learning in the Media Center
- Monitors student movements in and out of the Media Center, documents use of passes, and may
take attendance for groups where necessary - Provides support for students with basic computer troubleshooting (connection to WiFi,
password management, online resource access, triage for IT support) - Processes student laptops for IT support or repair as needed
- Assists with library book check-out and check-in procedures
- Assists with keeping the Media Center neat and orderly
- Supports students assigned to Fox Success supervised study halls by monitoring progress on
assignment completion and providing organizational assistance - Supervises occasional classes assigned to the Media Center due to sub needs
HOURS
This is a school-year part-time hourly position with very minimal hours over the summer.
Executive Assistant to the President

This is a hired position. It will be posted in the Federation, and interviews will be held to secure the best candidate for the position.
The Executive Assistant is responsible to support the Office of the President in carrying out the mission of Fox Valley Lutheran High School through positive interactions with parents, students, visitors, faculty, and others.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be an active member of a WELS/ELS congregation committed to Christian Education
- Understands and promotes the FVL mission as he/she works with students, parents, prospective families, faculty, and others
- Required computer skills include Microsoft Office products, Google Applications, and the ability to learn other software applications (SIS - Skyward)
- Exceptional organizational skills, time-management skills, and attention to detail
- Independent self-starter who is efficient and productive without direct supervision
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High degree of professionalism and composure in interactions with the student body, parents, faculty, staff, church leaders, and visitors
- High regard to confidentiality and discretion
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supports the FVL President and his work in the school, community, Federation, and WELS
- Supports FVL’s Administrative Office in various capacities
- Attends FVL’s Coordinating Council and Executive Committee meetings
- Works closely with the Mission Advancement office, Admissions office, and the FVL Controller
SPECIFIC DUTIES
- Prepares and emails materials to the Board of Regents and other committee members

c. Finance Committee
d. FVL Pre-General Board (Federation Pastors)
e. FVL General Board - Maintains thorough collection and oversight of the FVL Policies and the need for regular reviews
- Manages the position descriptions folder, ensuring they are up-to-date and current
- Assists in arranging donor portfolio visits for the President
- Assists in scheduling donor portfolio phone calls for the President
- Ensures email follow-up is done for all meetings, phone calls, etc. with donors and vendors both on the day prior and day after the meetings
- Serves as the point-person for the Faculty/Staff picnic
- Maintains database of FVL Federation Pastors, Principals, FVL Boards/Committees and General Board members
- Maintains email groups for Federation Pastors, Principals, Board of Regents, Finance,
Foundation, and General Board members - Initiates FVL Federation council visit meetings and paperwork for President and other Mission
Advancement representatives - Additional duties deemed necessary as role develops
HOURS
This is a part-time, year-round position with an average of 15-18 hours during the school year and 8-12 hours per week during the summer months (mid-June – mid-August). This position does offer flexibility within the hours allotted as discussed and approved by the President.
